Hi, I'm Guy, I photograph places and spaces
Originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand) I live on Gadigal land - Newtown in Sydney's inner west and travel where my camera takes me. I've been photographing the built environment, and a few people involved with it as a full time professional photographer for over ten years now.
I'm a photography obsessive and a compositional expert with a love of fine design, nature and nice people. My photos are clean and colourful and I bring ease, deep thought and optimism to each and every shoot.
My favourite day of the week is shoot day where I'm commissioned to observe a subject intently and capture it looking it's best. Editing, and retouching, these to bring the best of the out of the photos is probably my next favourite or perhaps just after spending time with family and friends.
Over the years I've worked on shoots with dozens of people and so much gear but the majority of my projects I keep it agile so I can chase the light and the shots and cover as much ground as possible, while dealing with the inevitable challenges on the day.. Each shoot requires different equipment, be it lighting, a specialist lens or a leaf blower but I'm always looking to be fully focused on capturing a composition.

As professional photographers we need to be paid whenever our images are used commercially - we're passionate about what we do but but we have a lot of bills to be paid.
